Threadflip- Get cash for your old designer clothes/ bags without the eBay hassle

So, I just came back from Asia and had dinner with my girlfriend Rebecca to catch up on things.

We talked about all kinds of fun stuff.  I told her I don’t shop as frequent as I used to.  In fact, I have too much of everything in my house.  Then she told me she wanted to get rid of her designer bag, a gift from her ex whom she didn’t want to remember.  I agreed and I said I got a few impulse buying too.  It’s thousand dollars here and there.  We could do so much more with that amount of cash if we can sell them.

Both of us thought of selling them on eBay or craigslist but they are too much of a hassle.  There is the trust issue and let’s just say that listing an item on these sites is not as easy as updating your Facebook status.  So we gave up the idea and moved on to other topics.

Well good news to us!  I found out this San-Francisco based company called Threadflip.  You can sell it by yourself or they do it for you, with a service charge.  They are around for a couple of years already and got some funding from the investors.

I am all-in for someone doing the job for me.  As long as it frees up my closet space, I am willing to share my profit with the person who helps me to get rid of stuff that I don’t want.  I consigned my clothes with a consignment store before and I got good cash from my items.  :)

Check them out-

Oh, be sure to check out their listings too.  I found a designated category for Chanel and Prada.. Ooh-la-la…

I will definitely try out the services and share my experience with you.  Until then…
